Leur premier album sorti en février 1970, Bloodrock crée son propre Hard Rock, mais surtout ils jouent quelques Blues, et le groupe a une quantité importante d'influence grâce aux compositions de John Nitzinger qui a écrit et contribué à des chansons comme "Jessica", "Lucky in the Morning", "You Gotta Roll" et "Koolaid Kids" qui paraîtront sur les albums suivants
